Why Sustainability?
"We face a true planetary emergency. The climate crisis is not a political issue, it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity. It is also our greatest opportunity to lift global consciousness to a higher level."
Al Gore's statement on winning the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize
Humanity’s ecological footprint is over 23% larger than what the planet can regenerate. By 2015 in Asia, there will be 253 cities with population between 1 million and 5 millions, only in Asia there will be 2 billions more urban residents. We are facing a serious problem in fresh water, food, population and climate. We must start examining our own lifestyles to become sustainable.
